1989 Tomintoul Single Cask, 19 Year Old, Bottled for Mackillop’s Choice

Colour: Pale gold.

Nose: Fruity, floral and roasted nuts, toasted bread, malt and honey at first sniffs, but gets fruitier over time (papayas, tangerines)... More honey, pollen, nectar after a while, with faint hints of smoke and leathery notes. Not far from absolute aromatic balance.

Mouth: Caramelly and nutty. Maltier than on the nose, with also a little liquorice, resin and honey.

Finish: Medium long but again, very balanced, on malt and caramel.
