2000's Glengoyne 17 year old 43% vol 2000's Bottling
From the Lang Brothers comes this unusual and rare bottle, the perfect Xmas gift. The old 'Glen Guin', from Dumgoyne in the Campsie fells in the North outside of Glasgow. The Glengoyne stream flows into Loch Lomond. The distillery is in the highlands, but the casks themselves are matured in the lowlands and only warm air is used to dry the barley, making the dram easier on the palate. This 17 year old expression has a list of gongs as long as your arm, e.g. San Fransico Gold spirits award in 2007. Sadly now discontinued - there are a 15 and an 18 year old to be found, making this one for a collector.
Typical tasting notes: nose: Sherry, caramel, light rum with a background of raisin; taste: creamy smooth sweet, light rum and raisin; finish: not prolonged and sweet.
Has the Royal Warrant.
