Appearance - Bright gold with a light amber edge — classic bourbon‑cask colour, deepened slightly by the quarter‑cask influence.
Nose - Thick peat smoke, kiln air, and warm ashiodine, TCP, seaweed, antiseptic. Flamed wood, charred oak, and smouldering driftwood. Sweetness underneath: vanilla, honeycomb, toasted coconut. A coastal lift of salt spray and damp rope. A classic Laphroaig nose — bold, smoky, medicinal, and sweetened by small‑cask intensity.
Palate - Smoked bacon, campfire embers, and charred oak. Sweet malt, vanilla fudge, and warm honeyiodine, herbal smoke, seaweed. A burst of white pepper, ginger, and toasted spice. The quarter cask adds accelerated oak extraction — creamy sweetness and deeper char. Rich, smoky, and surprisingly sweet — the signature Quarter Cask contrast.
Finish - Long, smoky, and warming.Campfire smoke, charred oak, and lingering peat. A final echo of sweet malt and coastal brine
