100% Chardonnay barrel fermented with 14 months on the lees in French oak (25% new).
Golden yellow in colour with green tints; the nose shows fresh apple and pear, with nutty aromas, and the palate is rich and round with well-balanced acidity.
Great as an aperitif. Also matches well with white meats, fish, pastry, cheese (comté) and goats cheese.
At the same elevation at the Premiers Crus, Les Grands Charrons is a vineyard with more limestone on the higher ground. With some lime blossom and citrus, there’s a touch of stone on the finish, and an appealing freshness.
