Bardinet VSOP ("very special old pale") brandy is aged for at least 4 years (for the VSOP label) prior to bottling. Bardinet is named for its founder Paul Bardinet who first took "fire water" (un-aged distilled sugar-cane spirit) and aged it in oak casks for bottling as Negrita in 1857.
Colour: mahogany colour, bright and shiny
Aroma: fruity aromas highlight the nose of raisins, prunes, peaches and oak.
Taste: smooth in the mouth, balanced and marked fruit flavours, vanilla and lingering oak and a long finish.
A nice smooth brandy and lovely on its own or with a mixer.
