Chateau Beaumont takes its name from a former manager of Chateau Latour and was established in 1824. The Chateau was built 30 years later in place of a former manor. In 1979 was acquired by Bernard Soulas, who drained the vineyard, renovated the chais and extended the area under vine before selling out to GMF, a joint venture between the French insurance company Garantie Mutuelle des Fonctionnaires and the Japanese Suntory group. Since the early 1980s this has been one of the leading Haut-Médoc cru bourgeois.
This wine has aged very well. Nice and smooth with great acidity and structure.
