From the Truquilemu vineyard comes this blend of Carignan and Mataró (Mourvèdre). Pilar Miranda and Alvaro Pena have made this wine from old vines Carignan which is naturally fermented (no added yeast) and barrel aged over the winter. On the nose there are hints of rhubarb, wild strawberries, raspberry leaf and some spice. The palate has good acidity and medium/full bodied. Each bottle (recycled glass) is hand stamped with a bottle number. Lot #73 was just 3,561 bottles. Perfect with Spanish type foods: tapas, risotto, cold cuts and paella.
