From the Clos des Argillières vineyard situated between Beaune and Dijon. Argile is the French word for clay and describes the soil in this small (<10 Ha) vineyard.
This wine is elegant and well structured with delicate red and black-fruits of the forest flavours and a slightly floral bouquet, said to resemble violets.
Accompanies all sorts of rich cuisine due to its full body and tannic grip. A traditional style Burgundy from the old school.
