Langside Distillers
A trading named used by Hunter Laing & Co to bottle its Hepburn's Choice and Distiller's Art brands of independent single cask Scotch whiskies. It was first introduced in the 1970s by Douglas Laing & Co to market export blended Scotch brands, also appearing on its Douglas of Drumlanrig labels.
Nose :- Granny Smith apples and pineapple, with a drizzle of vanilla.Hints of lemon cheesecake, marmalade, and rich tea biscuits. Soft cedar, nutmeg, and a touch of farmyard funk for depth
Palate :- Juicy red apple and cooked pear, layered with honey and barley. Evolving into sweet and sour citrus, with a mineral edge. Notes of orange blossom honey, cookie spices, and oak chips. Light mouthfeel but benefits from a bit of “chewing” to unlock complexity2
Finish :- Short to medium, with lingering honey, milky tea, and sultanas. Slightly bitter grapefruit and spicy undertones
BB 12 is fruit-forward, elegant, and subtly complex—ideal for those who enjoy whisky with a balance of orchard fruit, spice, and creamy oak. It’s a versatile dram that works well neat or with a splash of water.
