1970’s White Heather 5 year old 5cl

Another old brand that's legendary. The base malt was said to be Aberlour.

Colour: Straw.

Nose:  Peat, oil and wax. Glass maturing made it nose older than 5 for sure. Litres of smoky tea, earthy tea, soot, then metal polish, 'old garage', rocks, ashes... And mint, camphor... 

Mouth: Ashes, liquorice, rocks, soot, tar, then pink grapefruits (with a little icing sugar) and a growing smokiness. There's even some brine and something like smoked oysters, which further stresses this baby's coastal side.

Finish: Long, sooty. Sweet grapefruits, a little paraffin in the aftertaste.
