Palate:- Deep and concentrated with remarkable balance. Rich flavors of blackberry, plum, and licorice. Voluptuous texture with smoky undertones. Complex layers of spice, coffee, and ripe fruit. High alcohol content, yet integrated and harmonious
Finish :- Long, spicy, and persistent. Firm tannins with a crisp structure. Still evolving—can easily age for decades in a good cellar.
Consistently rated among the top vintage ports of 1977. Robert Parker described it as “a mammoth, opaque, statuesque vintage port of remarkable depth and power”. This is a port that rewards patience and reverence.
