Here are the tasting notes for the Blairmhor 8 Year Old Pure Malt Scotch Whisky, a blended malt primarily composed of Speyside single malts and bottled at 40% ABV:
Blairmhor 8 Year Old – Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich and full-bodied. Dried mixed peels, malted barley, and a touch of smoke. Gentle peat adds depth without overwhelming. Some reviewers note lemon, peanuts, and a dusty grain loft aroma
Palate: Quite full and well-balanced. Spice, peat, and barley mingle with honey. Soft and malty with hints of caramel and cooked pear. Slightly bitter edge with a green, floury maltiness
Finish: Long and malty. Lingering oak, honey, and a touch of peppery tartness. Some mint, cooked vegetables, and wood in the tail end
Additional Notes
Blended from around 20 single malts, mostly Speyside
Bottled by R. Carmichael & Sons Ltd. for the German market
Considered very aromatic, with a nostalgic 1980s profile
