1980's Teacher's Highland Cream

As you may know, Teachers means Ardmore! And old Ardmores can be terrific!

Colour: Full gold.

Nose: This one is much more vegetal and grassy than all the other ones. A little coal smoke, cut grass, paraffin, pencil shavings, ink, peat, beer…

Mouth: Fat, big, punchy, peaty, candied, creamy… What a beautiful attack! And then come the lemons and the grapefruits, together with even more peat, spices (chilli!) and crystallised orange zests. Impressive, very impressive.

Finish: incredibly long and peaty.

Comments: The palate is quite incredible. This would send many malts back to school – indeed!. Big peat.
