1986 Highland Park 21 year old, Highland from the First Cask Series, distilled 27/06/1986, cask no. 2268, bottle no. 219
Colour: Pale straw.
Nose: Grassy, porridgy and lemony, with also notes of not too ripe gooseberries and apples (compote). Even cider apples. Quite some smoke again,although there’s a little praline and cappuccino making a late arrival.
Mouth: Big notes of pink grapefruit and, well, regular grapefruit, lemonade, lime juice... Something candied, also fruit sweets ( grapefruit-flavoured)...
Finish: Very long, with hints of peat now,
