The 1990s Glenmorangie Portwood Finish—a fine choice indeed! Here's a taste of its magic:
ABV (Alcohol by Volume): 46.8%
Colour: Rich, reddish coppery amber.
Nose: A delightful blend of sweet and musty port wine aromas, featuring hints of prunes, cherry cola, and aged wood.
Palate: Initial sweetness with dark demerara sugar and floral vanilla, followed by a mid-palate burst of sherry raisin and black cherry. The wood elements show up early, with sandalwood, oak, and dry hatbox notes taking over.
Finish: Long and complex, with a unique sweet-sour woody finish. It also carries a vermouth-like quality that's dry yet elegant. Expect lingering notes of dessert wine, pepper, orange peel, and marzipan.
