2000s Glen Moray NAS Speyside Malt

The distillery’s present core range consists of Glen Moray Classic Single malt. A non-age statement (NAS) expression that is aged for an average of six to seven years in ex-bourbon casks; the majority of which are first fill.
On the nose, the whisky is rather light, with a very faint minerality. As it opens up notes of cooked cereal and honey sweetness emerge.
On the palate, the whisky is sweet, with vanilla and a slight salted caramel note. There are herbal aromas of cut grass, along with apple and lemon notes, and a hint of tropical fruit and milk chocolate.
The finish is medium length, slightly drying but warming, sweet with lingering lemon notes.
This is a very easy drinking whisky. It’s well-priced and makes an excellent aperitif.
