A big, indulgent, sherry‑soaked Speyside single cask—dense dried fruit, chocolate, spice, and polished oak wrapped in Glen Moray’s soft orchard‑fruit core. At 61.7%, it’s powerful, oily, and deeply flavour‑saturated.
Nose - Immediate dark sherry richness: raisins, dates, fig jam, and black cherry compote. Behind the fruit sits treacle, toasted almonds, cocoa powder, and a touch of leather and polished oak.
A few minutes in the glass brings orange oil, cinnamon bark, and warm pastry.
Palate - Explosive cask‑strength delivery—thick, oily, and mouth‑coating.
Layers of sticky toffee pudding, dark chocolate, molasses, and spiced fruitcake unfold over a backbone of dried figs, sultanas, and plum reduction.
The sherry cask’s intensity brings clove, nutmeg, cracked pepper, and a hint of espresso roast.
Water opens up redcurrant, honeycomb, and baked apple.
Finish - Long, warming, and richly spiced.
Dark fruit, cocoa, oak tannin, and lingering treacle fade slowly, leaving a final echo of sherry‑soaked raisins and gentle pepper heat.
