A fiery, mythical Ardbeg matured in extremely charred casks, giving it a dark, smoky, spicy profile unlike anything else in the range.
Appearance - Bright golden amber, with a slightly oily, flame‑licked sheen.
Nose - A blast of charred sweetness and scorched earth. Burnt oak, charcoal, bonfire smoke. Toasted vanilla, molten marshmallow, caramelised sugar. Smoked cinnamon, clove, peppercorn. Scorched rosemary, singed mint. A faint thread of tar, sea spray, and smouldering driftwood. Intense, sweet‑charred, and unmistakably “Scorch.”
Palate - Thick, spicy, and dragon‑hot. Charcoal briquette smoke, ember heat, blackened oak. Toffee, vanilla fudge, burnt honeycomb. Cinnamon bark, chilli flake, cracked pepper. Smoked roots, liquorice, pine resin. Oily, warming, with a rising wave of charred spice
