Matured for 8 years in bourbon casks and 9 years in Saint-Julien casks (probably Lagrange).
Colour: Gold - orange.
Nose: Notes of overripe oranges and meaty (ham). Notes of pineapple liqueur, with hints of ganache, praline and nougat and also quite some caramel and roasted nuts.
Mouth: Rather creamy, nutty, not unlike hazelnut liqueur like they make in Italy, with also notes of crème brulee, candy sugar, fudge… Also notes of cappuccino and strawberry jam.
Finish; Rather long, on spiced jam and mulled wine, liqueur-filled chocolate…
