An old bottling of Martell's best selling VSOP Medaillon Cognac. The historic house was founded in 1715 by Jean Martell. Martell are famed for using a high proportion of Borderies grapes, giving their Cognacs a nuttier taste. We estimate this was bottled in the 1980s.
Appearance/ Color. Golden amber.
Nose/ Aroma/ Smell. Lime and liquorices, plum, fine grain, hazelnut.
Flavor/ Taste/ Palate. Mellow, crystallized-fruit.A lively, fruity and well-balanced Cognac with bright pops of cinnamon and cardamom winding into a long toffee finish. Light amber color, sweet and toasty vanilla and orange aromas.
