Casamigos Mezcal Joven Artesanal — TASTING NOTES
100% Espadín agave, slow‑roasted in earthen pits; copper‑pot distilled; unaged.
Nose - Distinctive Oaxacan smoke — clean, mineral, slightly ashy. Roasted agave with a savoury, earthy depth. Notes of herbs, pepper, and dried citrus peel. Subtle hints of pine, wet stone, and a touch of sweet fruit (pear, green mango)
Palate - Smooth, gently smoky entry. Roasted agave, white pepper, and mineral salinity
Mid‑palate brings herbal freshness (mint, eucalyptus) and a faint sweetness. Underlying notes of charcoal, citrus oil, and soft tropical fruit. Balanced, clean, and more refined than many rustic mezcals. Silky, medium‑bodied mouthfeel. Smoke is present but polished, never harsh. Bright acidity and minerality keep it lifted and refreshing
Finish - Long, clean, and smoky. Lingering agave, citrus, and a gentle earthy note. A final whisper of pepper and mineral ash. A smooth, modern, approachable mezcal with a refined smoke profile. It emphasises clean roasted agave, mineral freshness, and gentle smoke, making it ideal for drinkers who want mezcal’s character without overwhelming intensity.
