The 2019 vintage from Château Champion is a beautifully poised Right Bank classic, shaped by a warm, generous growing season. The blend leans into Merlot’s plushness, supported by Cabernet Franc’s lift and Cabernet Sauvignon’s structure.

Appearance - Deep garnet core with a softening ruby rim, showing the first hints of graceful evolution.

Aroma - Ripe black plum, mulberry, and black cherry at the forefront. Secondary notes of cedar, graphite, and warm baking spices from well‑integrated French oak. Subtle touches of dried rose, tobacco leaf, and forest floor emerging with air.

Palate - Silky, medium‑to‑full body with polished tannins. Layers of dark berry fruit, cocoa, and sweet spice. A savoury undertone—truffle, pencil shavings, and a hint of leather—adds depth. Fresh acidity keeps the wine lively, balancing the richness of the vintage.

Finish - Long, elegant, and gently warming, with lingering notes of plum compote and spice.

The wine has a year of vinification in tanks followed by a year in French oak barrels. Only 35,000 bottles are produced in a year. Pair with beef and pastries.
