Ernst Bretz Bechtolsheimer Petersberg Bacchus QBA 2021

This grape is named after the Roman god of wine and was first cultivated commercially in 1972. It is a cross of silvaner with Muller and produces wines with relatively low acid wines with delightful perfume-y bouquets. The palate is broadly similar to sauvignon and has flowery, 'hedgerow' notes. Ideal as an interesting replacement for sauvignon - pair with shellfish or spicy nibbles.
