Colour: Gold.

Nose: Quite strong Madeira, raisins, pink grapefruit. Rather nice at first nosing. Develops some funny notes of soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, apple juice. Quite enjoyable. Fresh and lively with grassy, oaky, vanilla notes and salty extremes.

Mouth: starts on lots of caramel, sugar, sweet wine (young Banyuls). Gets quite toffeeish, burnt caramel, roasted beans. A teasing balance of sweet and sour, featuring nuts, raisins, chocolate orange, and brine.

Medium long finish, with a pinch of salt on the tongue.Very warming, with lingering raisiny sweetness before a faintly peaty dryness prevails.
