Jura Seven Wood Single Malt

Appearance - Mahogany gold.

Nose - Coffee, ginger spice and a hint of chocolate. Nutmeg, strawberry jam on toast, Brazil nuts. Aromatic berry fruits, toasted hazelnuts, aniseed spice, blueberry muffins, lemon balm, toasted toffee and vanilla wafers. Buttered corn, Refresher sweets, tinned strawberries, rhubarb compote, dried pineapple and coconut.

Palate - Crème caramel, baked peach, sweet liquorice. Lemon peel, sawdust, apricot and cooked peach. Blueberry/forest fruit, toffee, hazelnut, praline, ginger biscuits, firm oak, a little smoke late on. Honeyed sweetness, syrup waffles with melted dark chocolate, poached pears, rhubarb and custard, sugared almonds.

Finish - Heavy vanilla with a hint of smoke developing. Bitter chocolate‑and‑bonfire impression from the oak and subtle smoke. Long, sweet, with a touch of smoked‑tea tannin.

Seven Wood is unmistakably Jura: soft fruit, gentle sweetness, a polished oak presence and that whisper of smoke. The French oak adds patisserie notes—caramel, chocolate, baked fruits—while the American oak keeps it bright and approachable.
