1991 Mannochmore 14 year old Signatory Vintage series - 700ml - 43% vol

From the Signatory Vintage series comes this fantastic highland malt whisky. Distilled on 07/11/1991, bottled 26/07/2006, matured in S. African Sherry Butt, cask number 16597, bottle number 388/817. For a Speyside, this dram is quite subtle and floral with a nice sweeter style finish from the time in a Sherry Butt.

Signatory Vintage have been toying with several of these South African sherry butts around 2003/2004.

Colour: pale gold.

Nose: Grassy with ‘of course’ a few candied and orangey notes from the sherry. Quite a beast, this one,

Mouth:- Perfect lemony/grassy whisky. Very classy. Hints of pine resin. (neat): excellent attack, sweet and fruity, with quite some cider apple (green apples will do), kiwis and lemons. More grass after that. Spectacularly assertive (man!) With water: once again, water worked perfectly. Beautiful clean but not simple whisky. Lemon pie.

Finish: long, nervous, clean, perfect. Comments: great Mannochmore
