Very well-aged Tamdhu single malt - yum yum yum! This was distilled in 1971 (back when Tamdhu only has 2 stills) and aged until 2011, when Gordon & MacPhail bottled it at 43% ABV for the MacPhail's Collection.
Colour: Gold.
Nose: Starts very fresh and flowery (dandelions), with also notes of yellow plums and apricots. Gets then slightly resinous (pine needles) and vanilled (custard), with traces of plain oak in the background.
Mouth: A faint fruitiness (peaches) and notes of ice tea and tapioca/flour.Just hints of marshmallows.
