Speyside 15 Year Old

Built by drystone dyker Alex Fairlie, Speyside was only commissioned in 1962 and finished in 1987. It wasn't until 1991 that the first spirit flowed from the stills - with the first single malt, Drumguish (named after the surrounding village) launched in 1993 - and yet in a very short time it has become the third best-selling single malt in Taiwan.

The Speyside 15 Year Old from Speyside Distillery—is a rich, sherry-matured single malt that showcases the distillery’s elegant house style with added depth and complexity. Bottled at a robust 48.2% ABV, it’s a standout for those who appreciate controlled richness and layered fruit.

Tasting Notes

Nose :- Dark chocolate, raisins, and orange zest. Hints of dried fig, toffee, and spiced oak. A subtle floral lift—perhaps rose or heather—beneath the richness.

Palate :- Texture: Silky and mouth-coating, with a warming alcohol presence. Initial burst of sherried fruit—think blackcurrant, plum, and candied peel. Mid-palate reveals nutmeg, cinnamon, and hazelnut praline.Balanced by gentle tannin and a touch of leather.

Finish :-Long and elegant, with lingering notes of dark fruit, oak spice, and a faint cocoa bitterness.
