The Corriemhor Cigar Reserve is a single malt Scotch whisky crafted specifically to complement the richness and complexity of fine Cuban cigars. Created by the legendary Richard Paterson, this expression was his first dedicated “cigar malt,” matured in a 50/50 mix of American bourbon casks and Pedro Ximénez sherry butts, and bottled at a robust 46% ABV—un-chill filtered and free of additives.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: Deep amber with a rich, sherried glow—evocative of aged mahogany.
Nose: Blackcurrant jam, fig, and sweet almonds. Chewy butter caramel and a touch of milk chocolate. Hints of roasted nuts, orange peel, and sherry-soaked raisins
Palate: Lush and creamy, with a velvety mouthfeel. Notes of dark fruit, caramel, and Seville orange marmalade. Balanced sweetness with a subtle peppery warmth to echo cigar spice. Undertones of butter, toffee, and oak
Finish: Long and harmonious. Fruity sweetness lingers, perfectly offsetting the dry, fragrant smoke of a fine cigar. Faint echoes of cedar, nutmeg, and leather
Style & Pairing
Designed to pair with Cuban cigars, especially those with earthy, peppery profiles like Partagás Serie D No. 4 or Bolivar Belicosos Finos
The PX sherry influence adds depth and richness, while the bourbon cask brings structure and vanilla warmth
