Colour: Straw.

Nose:Sooty and mineral ‘in the Springbank way.’ Notes of porridge, asparagus, wet hay, cream, coal ashes and linseed oil.

Mouth: Lemon, ginger tonic, vanilla, green apples, bitter oranges and just hints of salt and pepper. Faint waxiness.

Finish: Long, with pepper and bitter oranges.

Remember, Springbank is 2.5 times distilled, Longrow 2 times and Hazelburn 3 times, like some Irish (but not all!)

Colour: Pale gold.

Nose: Notes of banana skin and apples

Mouth: Very herbal,some butter, aromatic herbs and some green tea, apple skin, grapefruits…

Finish: Rather long, oily and more lemony and candied at the same time. Lemon pie and caramel, with a touch of thyme again.

CV Longrow 20cl

Colour: Straw.

Nose: Clean, pure and fresh at first nosing. Smokey, with rather delicate hints of mint and aniseed, then apple compote, vanilla crème and fresh butter.

Mouth: Very peaty and peppery, with rather big citrusy notes at the attack. Pepper and lemons plus a little vanilla fudge, orangeade, dried ginger... Gets peatier over time.

Finish: Long, clean, peaty, peppery, with added notes of bitter oranges and a pinch of salt.
