A rare find. Deanston whisky muddled with Scottish berries and herbs. Delightful. Sir William Wallace was a Scottish Knight. In a cardboard presentation tube.
Nose - Soft Highland malt warmth wrapped in a sweet, woodland-fruit perfume. Notes of bramble, raspberry leaf, and heather honey rise first, followed by a gentle herbal lift — sweet gale, mint, and a touch of angelica. Underneath, Deanston’s signature creamy malt provides a grounding richness.
Palate - Silky and rounded, with the liqueur’s lower ABV giving a velvety, dessert-like texture. The core is unmistakably Deanston: buttery malt, vanilla cream, and light oak spice. The berry element blooms mid‑palate — blackcurrant coulis, wild strawberry, and a hint of sloe — balanced by a subtle herbal bittersweetness that keeps it from becoming cloying. A gentle toffee and malt loaf character ties everything together.
Finish - Long, mellow, and softly spiced. Berry compote, honeyed malt, and a whisper of herbal dryness linger, leaving a warming, comforting impression.
A rare Highland liqueur built on single malt whisky rather than neutral spirit, giving it more depth, authenticity, and collector appeal than typical whisky liqueurs. Ideal for customers who enjoy Drambuie, Glayva, or Arran Gold, but want something more artisanal and Highland‑driven.
