Chaignots at its sensual best. Silky summer berry and forest fruit, touches of fruit liqueur and an added twist of woody spices and vanilla you don’t normally see in this cuvée. Light, charming, fruity and with a smoky/savoury complexity. A Nuits centred on finesse and charm. A Nuits Premier Cru vineyard on the Vosne side of the appellation and thus usually one of the silkier and lighter wines of the Chevillon cellar.
A fruity nose redolent of sweet cranberries, punnets of raspberries, and touch of French oak, that just invites you to drink. The palate gives of a sensation of cool, elegance, with ripe, but not overly sweet dark cherries, hints of mocha from the oak, all carried by a lovely vibrant acidity and fine fine tannins. A wine of great energy that you can easily drink now but has the legs to last.
