Chateau Haut -Tropchaud - A/C Pomerol - 2018

Michel Coudroy is a well respected producer in this fabulous appellation. His neighbours are Le Pin and Petrus! A typical merlot based right bank classic.

The colour is dark and inky, rich brooding fruit and oaky vanilla. Will come into it's own after four hours in the decanter. Ideal with Xmas fare. Limited quantities.

80-year-old Merlot vines produce a wine of incredible substance and presence.

On the nose the usually Merlot flavours dominate, blackberry, plums with notes of vanilla these follow through on to the palate along with cedar hints.

Will improve in the next 10-15 years but can be drunk now providing the wine is decanted.
